Standard service for a Tamora at 6000 miles is £545 plus vat. Had mine done last week. With VAT and plugs, and oil etc. it was £659 in total. And boy, it's running even better now.....

If you're anyway near the Blackpool region I'd advise you to go there. I had a 6,000mile service, suspension geometry setup, engine inspection (for the notorious FF problem) numerous bugs fixed and a new front wheel (at £140) all for £600 last December. The service provided was also top notch, they even delivered my car back to Farnham, Surrey FOC

Mike, are you saying that you booked your car into the factory for its service even though you live in Surrey? And that they collected/returned your car for nothing?
Didn't they try and make you use your local dealer?
Cheers......... Andrew

I booked my car in at the factory because I wanted them to give it a thorough going over and a few tweaks (suspension etc.) and so I could tell a prospective new owner that the factory had gven the engine a clean bill of health.

I don't think the factory care where you come from, it's upto you if you want to use them instead of the supplying dealer. As it happens I was totally happy with Hawthorns (my supplying dealer) service but just wanted the expertise that is available at the factory.

I took the car upto them on a Tuesday and got the train back. I was due to pick it up again on the Saturday but having realised what a horrendous journey it was to try in a day I asked Paul Forrest if he would mind delivering it back to Hawthorns next time they were down that way. It arrived at Hawthorns the following Wednesday FOC.

Not only that but I got my long awaited kickplates for free and the whole thing was cheaper than a basic service at a southern dealer.

A bit of a shame then that after all that effort the car got crashed a month later!

Mike.
