difficult problem, it happens only when engine is on right temperature, but there is no system, when it happens exactly. For example, you cannot say, that the smoke is rising when throttle is on maximum. Smoke is smelling a bit aggressive, perhaps coming from the battery, but exhaust gas is also a possibility. By the way air condition in my car is generally off, because of its bad efficiency.
Any other ideas for this problem ???

Something's getting cooked maybe? A bit of insulation touching the engine/exhaust system? When it happens can you jump out and look in the engine bay? If someone is burning you'll probably smell it or get an idea where it's coming from.

I suggest getting the car on a ramp so you can have a close look at the innards/underside.

Also, the aircon should work quite well - not as good as a BMW/Audi, but it should certainly cool the interior well with the windows closed. I sugggest you get it checked/recharged with refriderant (if needed).

Get it to the dealer pronto! - the last thing you want to do is use it and then whilst driving on the motorway the engine blows, leaving you to deal with a life threatening situation.

its probably the air con, mine did this on the left hand side... check under the bonnet to see if the compressor pump is covered with ice. if it is then it might be the same problem as I had

more like a steam than a smoke mind

think the clue here is that he says the smoke smells 'quite aggressive' unless the steam is picking up some other odour?

Hi, perhaps smoke is coming out of the gearbox, you can see the smoke come out of the little hole at the hand brake. What do you think ? Uli

I've already told at the service garage, but they only say: we don't know.
