Am not sure whether to go for the calfskin Pradas or something more traditional

I use calfskin RAF flying gloves. you can get them from Transair for £35. Not exactly warm, but give excellent grip and feeling.

www.transair.co.uk

and search for gloves.

Anything else smacks of Rover drivers, pipes and caravans.

I dont really like Prada. Not a good feel on the skin.

A nice suede and leather combo does for me!

I used to have a wooden steering wheel on my S1 and never really had a problem with my hands slipping even roof off and blazing sun.

The only time I use gloves is when im racing. Sparco with suede and rubber palms

Is it grip or warmth you want them for?

Well, for myself I would probably look for warmth.....but if I get a pair for my lady, will probably go for grip so she can get a good hold of the gear stick.....know what I mean?

Jenny

I think this "burnemup" bloke is a Nova driving wind up merchant....

If I ever see a TVR driver with gloves on, I'm going to laugh at him....

Can we discuss other items of motoring apparel - does anyone wear driving trousers/vest/undies. I find carbon fibre Y-fronts a little harsh, but they do prevent unsightly stains when travelling at 140 on slippery roads.... Know wot i mean?

You can laugh at me all you want when I'm driving top-down in winter, because my hands got flamin' cold earlier this year and I'll be purchasing some gloves sometime in late autumn when it gets colder again. So nyer.

According to his profile burnemup drives a white 1992 Ford Sapphire, I am sure the driving gloves are really needed in that! (know what I mean?)
