What's the difference between a Sagaris and t350?
Discussion
Does anyone know the definitive list of differences.
So far, I figure:
1) The price!
2) Lightweight, differently styled body
3) Different interior (less leather, body colour coded bare metal)
4) Full Hide
5) Widened track
6) Tuscan S spec engine (400bhp, 310lb)
7) Tuscan S brakes
I'm not sure about the gearbox - will it have the close ratio box, or is that an extra? How about headlights - they're different, but are they higher spec (Xeon's etc)? How about the suspension - presumably as it's track focused, it'll have harder suspension (possibly adjustable?).

I am assuming that TVR HAVE TO do bring out 'variations on themes', due to the 500 car a year ruling, that makes low volume manufactures immune to the stringent new rules, like all new cars must have ABS.
it would be great if, because the chassis are (I think) basically the same, instead of trading in our cars seemingly every 5 minutes, we could just 'hot swap' the bodies, depending on mood, and weather!!! lol

Well, apparently, the body generates downforce and was designed to replace the tvr tuscan challenge race series. Peter wheeler himself is planning to race one. So top speed should be sacrificed in favour of high speed stability.
Most gt cars have slats over the wheel arches to release air trapped underneath (ie lift) which is the thinking behind the sagaris's slats.
The sagaris is rumoured to have 3x stiffer suspension set up than the t350. A stiff set up is needed to keep the body flat and level to allow the aerodynamics to work properly.
This is of course all in theory and it might just all be there to look cool. In either case it succeeds in my view.

Sounds good. I'm still worrying about
a) day to day comfort
b) speed humps
I know it's a racer for the road, but I want to use mine as much as possible. The TVR card still says 195+ as a top speed though!
Apparently PW will be racing the Sagaris for the last race of this season, so I'll be getting down to see that!
Me too.
I had a Skyline GTR and it was board stiff over bumps and really uncomfortable on long journeys as a result. Even though it looks like a big, comfy coupe. It also tramlined really badly, you had to have two hands on the wheel at all times. Great car otherwise.
I fear the sagaris will be similar but frankly (and perhaps stupidly) I don't care because it's the coolest car I've ever seen.
Apparently the Sagaris is slightly lower (half inch)than a T350 and I'm worried about that front splitter over speed bumps as I live in central London.

I saw the Sagaris and was amazed - it just looks sooo cool.
Perhaps a few trips round Harrogate town centre will change my mind (I've got a test drive booked when the demo's are ready). If all else failes, it's going to have to be a (black) t350! I suppose things could be worse.
