Has anyone changed the 'sidelight' bulbs (the lights which come on at the first turn of the dial) - i have changed the main light to an Osram Nightbreaker bulb, but want a replacement sidelight bulb which shines white to match it.

(i don't mean the side repeaters on the side of the car, but the bulb in the main light unit at the front).

I have bought some in the past, which should have fitted, but they don't fit through the hole in the light cluster.

Any advice?! Cheers!

i used to have the HID kit but it made the dash lights and radio not work properly so out they came, and 'osram nightbreakers' went in.

thanks, will wait to hear what bulbs you used for your side lights smile

I have HID fitted on the Tamora and I don't seemed to be blessed with the issues that some owners have experienced. They're a doddle to fit and give a night and day difference to standard bulbs. As for the side lights I use a direct white LED replacement which complements the HID and they look a lot better than the standard dull yellow bulb. I bought then on fleabay for about £3 I think.

I used white LED bulbs for the sidelights alongside Osram Nightbreaker's in my Griff. They lasted about a year. Seems the heat from the main bulbs was too much for them. I'm sure they'd be fine with HID's.
