Picked up my new Tamora yesterday afternoon and have been smiling ever since!!! Trying to run it in very carefully but, even so, it feels, looks and sounds FANTASTIC! Was starting-up in the car park this morning and the noise set off the alarm of a neighbouring Lotus Elise!!!
It ain't exactly speed bump friendly and I'm not very happy with the radio/CD (or rather those two baked bean tins they call "speakers"!) But hey, WHAT A CAR!!!

WHAT A CAR!!!! I have been driving my new Tamora all weekend, totally neglected my wife and baby but hey, WHAT A CAR!!! Still running her in of course but, even so, it's great fun to drive - like no other car I've ever owned. A tourist on the south bank took a picture of it and yesterday afternoon (Sunday) I spotted a Tuscan at Waterloo, the driver hooted and waved at me.
Now to the bad points, I MUST get better speakers 'cos the sound system is truly dreadful (or do I need a better radio/CD player too? Got the standard Pioneer Equaliser thingy that came with the car). secondly I kerbed my rear off-side alloy trying to park (gutted). Thirdly I got burned trying to check the oil (must get a gardening glove!)
I noticed water dripping from about where the red battery charging plug is located - but I think this is just the air-condition water discharge, am I right??
It ticks over at about 700rpm but that feels a bit low and trembly at traffic lights, is this normal?
O and finally my driver's side door wouldn't pop open for a while but then it did! Wierd or normal? O and before I go, the boot doesn't always spring open first time - need to press the button hard a few times! Is that normal too?
Anyway, did I mention... WHAT A CAR!!! Absolutely love it!

Hi,
I upgraded the speakers and added an amp in the boot. I kept the head unit and it sounds really good and because it looks cheap no one is going to try and nick it.
I dont have aircon so i cant help with the drip.
Mine was really lumpy on tickover and was fine once the 1k services was done. It will get much, much quicker. i have done 12k now and it just gets better and better.
all the other bits just need a bit of a tweak by the dealer.
Enjoy,
Ed

Hi there
I just replaced the speakers, have no additional amp and kept the original head - it's actually quite a lot better than it looks. 2 new bigger rear speakers in the back and a couple of tweeters in front has done the trick...
Re: Aircon, I'm not quite sure where you mean - if you mean the battery connector on the underside of the car on the left hand side behind the front wheel, then yes, don't worry, it's the aircon!
Have fun!

Spenny, I note you are in London. Can you reccomend a good place to go to have my speakers changed and tweeters etc. fitted? Also wanted to install a hands free phone thingy while I'm at it!.
BTW: Thanks for the reassurance about the air-con overflow. It's exactly where you describe it.

I read somewhere that the Tuscan 2, Tamora and T350 models will be getting NXT flat panel speakers that are lighter and more compact (no mounting depth required) than the originals and replace both bass/midrange and high frequency drivers.
NXT (from the same cluster that brought us Mission and Cyrus) had a very good reputation in the industry. Might make sense to see if a retrofit is possible - but then again, this will propably involve swapping door panels...
