All,

I'm more than slightly concerned at a rubber clad piece of metal (covered in dried glue) that suddenly started grinding against the road yesterday. Pulled over and could see it hanging from underneath the car and simply pulled it out (it wasn't connected to anything - not anymore anyway!).

I took 2 pictures of it to see if any recognises it. It came from the passenger side of the engine, right at the front. Seems strange that its clad in metal in such a hot environment? Any speed 6 experts out here?

Is there a slight chance I just drove over it and it got lodged in there? The glue made me think it must have come from the TVR though.

Jimmy,

It's nothing to worry about it's just the bit of stuff that connects the front splitter to the nose of the car. Apparently someone said they are there for type approval or something but don't actually do anything. Mine still has them in one piece but most have fallen off when people hit the curb with their front spoiler.
If you look next to your number plate you should see the other one.

Paul,

Thanks for that. I'm not with the car at present, but I'll have a look and see if I can spot the one on the other side asap. The car's going in to Chris Neil's next week for something unrelated so I'll probs mention it to them just in case.

Cheers,
Jim

Mine are no longer on the car - been replaced by supports for a (ahem) laser device of some sort, Mr. Spock....
