Just thought I'd keep you posted on the T350 hunt! Had a test drive at the ever so helpful Kerridges a few days ago and I have to say it was extremely impressive (q'uel suprise)! It was a lot more focused and hard edged than I thought it would be, bearing in mind that I've had a string of Caterhams. And what a noise! All Kerridges have got to do now is find me one - ideally would like black/silver/titanium although open to suggestions!

There are 2 black ones (brand new) for sale at David Hendry in Malmsbury. Both looked ace. Good prices too!

Thank's for that, I'll have a look on their website or give them a call but ideally I need a year old one due to finances. I really do think that black looks great and I would be tempted to have the wheels done in black too just to really give it an evil 'edge'.

I'm looking for one myself at the moment but I can't find any from private sellers. The prices from dealers cover quite a range too (32K - 37K for a 2003 car) and I'm really not prepared to pay 4-5K to a dealer just for his pleasure, if you know what I mean. It's a year old car so it will still have a years warranty left on the engine and £500 will buy you a warranty to cover the rest. I'll probably be selling in 6 months to a year and a 5K dealer surcharge plus depreciation makes for an expensive year of motoring.......sorry, did I have a point?

I'll just get me coat.....

There's a small reassurance from buying at a dealer but as you say £4k-5k for the peace of mind (?) makes a big difference especially if your not looking to keep it very long. Is there a reason why you don't want to keep it very long?

I didn't really want to buy from a dealer. I got mine privatly as well. This saved me anything between 2-7k alone plus on the spec i wanted I also got a lower mileage car (about 2500 miles in relation to the same car I wanted at the dealers).

The biggest thing for me was getting the car checked out....so I had TVR do this themselves which cost me 1 hours labour. The AA was going to do it prior to this but wanted £280 and then could not do it. Fortune was smiling on me that day.

So for a private buy I had a lower purchase price, lower mileage, piece of mind through HPI & TVR check and also pretty much the spec I wanted.

As for not keeping it very long?!? I think you may change you mind when you finally get it :-)

I only really look at keeping a car for 6 months due to the fact that I'm a contractor and that is about as far as I can see into the future....I also change my mind with the wind and will probably fancy something else by then!

You should advertise it as soon as you make a purchase. Some of these T350 have been sitting around for 6 months waiting to be sold.

Jayjay, any that I should keep a look out for in particular....seems strange that it could take 6 months to sell a T350, then again, depends on asking price I guess.

There is one on the Walldonway forecourt that has been sitting around for nearly a year. They said they cannot sell it at any price.

Did you see the "new" black T350C they had in the showroom? It looks like it has been sitting in a barn for two years. No wonder they have been terminated.
