just been having a flick in the classifieds. £25k for a Tamora and a late T350C with 4k miles on the clock for less than £30k at a dealer. I am surprised at this time of the year prices seem to be heading lower. Is the second hand market for these cars that bad? I surely cant believe it is, especially later cars.

Apparantly the T350 in the classifieds is being brokered by the dealer for a private seller, and also according to a previous thread is a real dog hence the price

When it's a TVR.

Seriously they can need a lot of screwing back together and tidying up at that age and mileage if you get a bad un.

Dealer price for a 03 T350 is around £28K trade. Tamora even less. God knows why really as they are fabulous to drive. I can only suggest build quality and the reputation of the speed six engine. I still think a used Tamora is an absolute bargain, as rudegirl said last night, go and drive one and you'll discover how superb they really are.

remember, not everybody treats there cars like us, i once visited the service department at henly's, and some of the cars there were in a right state (customer cars),scratches, dents, rot inside, i was appalled that these owners did not look after the cars.

In the end, we all know that TVR's need a bit of tlc, but if they dont get any who can be surprised if there is the ocassional v-cheap. + some of the people dont understand these cars and that also leads to this situation.

So dont judge the market and the car just because you see this one car, some have been mistreated, and if you ask me, reading the previous thread about this car i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole and the only reason it sold at this price was because it was the dealer selling it cos if it was a private sale i dought the seller would have got 26k for it (read the other post to know its condition)

Sportsmans bet the ex owner is NOT on this forum!!

As usual, you only quoted part of the post. Some people are unluckier than others. I even know of one plum who paid nearly £50K for a T350 with a sooped up engine that has ended up being worth jack sh*t more than a standard one....

Quoting the only bit that was relevant doesn't hurt.
Oh and who paid nearly £50k then...
Oh and some of us don't give a xxxx about residuals, then some ex-TVR owners would know about that wouldn't they?
I know a plum who shipped out of TVR and paid OTT for a souped up poor mans Ferrari. They're worth nout unless you trade in like for like.

TVRs aint no different to most other cars in terms of loosing money.
Buy and sell wrong - disaster.
Buy new with loads of add on goodies and sell soon after - disaster

External factors that effect the value - lots of people who don’t seem to understand the above real issues propagating a myth. Enter PH stage left and threads like this one.
