I'm not sure about whether risking my neck in a car with no side protection AT ALL, is what I call "part of the fun of a TVR" I didn't realise that there was no protection in the Griff/Chim sides until I toured the factory when I was buying the Tamora. In most cases TVR's are very strong in a crash and they look like they have disintegrated because the plastic goes everywhere. But the chassis is VERY strong. However, if you get T-boned you have had it. and as someone else just said, it's not always your fault. I felt a lot more comfortable when I saw how safer the Tuscan and Tamora are than the older cars.....(cerb excepted)
....and you can't die in a Merc at 2mph, they are built like a tank. Lady Di would have lived if she'd had her seat belt on and her Merc was doing 90mph.

Oooh you spoilt bugger!
I had a Boxer then a Chopper, really wanted a Grifter and then realised about a month ago that all a Grifter was was a Chopper with an upside down frame!
