G'Day Holden Lovers !!
As I said The Australian Car Club Associaton have been offered a Stand & roped of area at this years Show.
Sandy from the Aus Ford Reg, Matt from the Mopar Muscle Association (Aussie Chryslers) and Myself Holden Uk Reg, are tring to find out how many cars from our Clubs will be attending this year.
We had a good turn out last year 10 Cars, 4 Holdens, 5 Fords & a Valiant Charger. The Mad Max Interceptor from Bolton was a big croud puller. See report at www.aus-ford-uk.co.uk/html/show_reports1.html
Sandy (PHASE4) will be there all Weekend and I hope to get up there with my EH Holden on Sat Morning. I will be taking a small gazebo & flags along with some other Aussie things. We are tring to see if we can have a BBQ for Sun if it's aloud or if not just Sat Night.
So as I have said before we would love to have you lucky guys that own HSV come along & park with us at the AusCCA Stand, to show everyone you great cars.
Paul I have spoken to you about this & it would be great if you can bring some Signs from the UK Drivers Club.
So everyone let us Know if you will be there ok.
Many thanks,
Rob Apsey (EH*ROB)

G'Day jagsy,
Yes I will be there on Sat about the same time and will definatly be interested in going to the LSV workshop !
I have spoken to Sandy (PHASE4) and he will be there on friday to oganise our area. Looks like we will have a good turn out of about 10 or more HSV's, some older Holdens, about 10 or so Fords, including the Mad Max Interceptor and a XR8 Falcon to compare with a HSV and the Aussie Valiants (Chrysler).
Looks like we will be set up on the left as you go in, just outside the main area.
Some of the guys are going to meet up on the Sunday Morning in the Garage out side, let you know the time later.
I will give more info when I find out ok.
Rob.

Hi Rob, Paul and all,
I have spoken to Harry about an area for Australian cars and he is quite cool about it. He and the AACI would prefer it if there were only American cars in the main showground, but, traditionally, there has always been areas in the other field where clubs can set up. He is quite reasonably unwilling to set aside areas beforehand for the clubs, but is quite willing to meet up when I/we arrive to set aside an area.
Our plan is to get there sometime at mid-day to early afternoon on the Friday and try and blag a good prominent point. I am not quite sure what happens about pegging the area (I will ask Harry) but I am hoping to get a good enough area for 20-25-30 cars.
If you go to this website
www.billingaquadrome.com/home.php
and click on the interactive map, find the jet ski sales and hire centre then go upwards to the events area. This is Shelduck Meadow2. This is the main show field. To the left of that area is Shelduck Meadow1 which is where the clubs will be. To the left of that again is Puddleduck Place. This is most likely where we will be camping.
I am trying to organise that the Ford guys bring some stuff. Australian flags are always good, plus any bunting, or posters, billboards, etc, etc. We have a sort of pole and can fly an Australian flag from it, but more would be good.
We are also hoping to have some sort of gazebo in the stand for shelter (hopefully from the sun).
If anyone has any ideas, please post them here.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Way norther than you, Jagsy !
The North is Inverness, which is where the XR8 is coming from.
I am confused now.
My impression was that LSV are bringing their super coupe(whatever that is) to the show on both days, then were inviting people back to their garage on the Saturday evening. Can somebody please clarify this as, if it is open to all the Australian car folk, it would be a great thing, and a worthwhile attraction ?
All the best

Hello all
Clucking bells - Inverness is in the antartic - lovely place we had a FANTASTIC week there just over a year ago. Bring me some local brew please anything malt and over 10 years will be enjoyed [I like them with strong tar then Lynne doesn't drink it he he]!!! (When in Rome be a Roman - when in Scotland drink Whisky)
I've spoken with Peter at LSV and heres a plan.
We meet at LSV Wellingbrough at 11am for coffee and donuts (lots please Dan is coming with us). We then go to Billing in Convoy - so bring it on we need at least 10 cars.....
The coupe is the black Capa 440 that was on Top Gear and had a nice run with a Jag.
