Hi folks just looking for some help

When locking the car the horn chirps 5 times indicating a door is open

But the car locks ok remotely and manually.

But the icon for open door stays on.Even when locked.

I have checked all doors, boot and bonnet

Any help would be greatly appreciated

One of the rear doors on the couple of occasions I've seen it. Cleared itself after a few firm shuts.

Hi,

Interesting as this has just happened to me today and as of yet has not cleared.

Car has been parked up since our first snow 27th November and went for a run today to get some cobwebs off it.

It started first turn of key but this fault is showing.

Cheers,
Brian

I did indeed have this and only worked out that if you have speed locking activated and one of the doors at the back or passenger is opened before engine switched off this happens all I did was turn the speed locking off via the onboard comp and never had it again.

Is the speed locking the auto locking once the car gets above a certain speed.

I havent turned this on as yet.

I have noticed that once the car has locked and armed the door open light stays on.

After about 5-10 mins once the BSI/BCM shuts down the light goes out and all is well.

I just hate niggly things like this and didnt want to start messing about via diags etc

Yep thats the one but also if you use the internal switch by the electric windows this can cause the issue as well...... this was the last thing I tried by not locking the doors never had a problem since

Yay frown my car seems determined to work its way through faults that others have had previously

Mine started doing this yesterday. It beeps 5 times when I lock it but all doors are looked, along with the boot.

Sometimes (not all the time) it decides to drive with the interior light on, which won't turn off(!)

I went out to it today and it unlocked and locked fine, "woohoo!" I thought, "it's fixed itself"

Nah - 2 minutes later the alarm went off. Unlocked and locked it again (5 beeps again) and it was fine for a couple of hours, now the alarm just went off again mad

Any suggestions other than petrol and a match?

I think they just love to be driven...

After I had mine off the road for about a month when I blew up my diff, the satnav started showing invalid disc and wouldn't even let me take the disc out. Two weeks down the line now and it works again

Hi, I'm having the exact same problems and nothing anyone has suggested in this thread has worked frown

Did you find a way to sort this in the end please?

Cheers

My cv8 monaro drivers door wasn't locking sometimes. It was caused by the plastic being worn on the chassis part of the lock and fouling the mechanism.

Sounds different to the issues above but may be worth checking.
