Now where is that LS1Edit software..!!

Anyone know if Lindens is using this software yet?
I heard a dude from Oz was going to come over to do some tuning for them at one point.

I belive Mark at LSV is getting LS1Edit

One of the club members has both bits of software you need to tune the car, as LS1edit only reflashes the PCM, you need EFILive to do the data collection.

You can download efilive for free as a demo from www.efilive.com/starrperformance/?Scan_Tools::EFILive_V6_-_OBD_II

For efilive it costs about £300 but it will only work on one VIN number.

LS1Edit costs about £700 for a single user.

A new product from the USA is a dataloger and flash in one and it costs £300 (big saving) I think that the license is base on model year so you can tune any cars from that year.

So maybe a group order from a few of us!!!

the site is www.hptuners.com/

I am re making the club web site at the moment and will include a section on tuning.

EFI Live.
Hold fire guys,I am reliably told a new version called EFI Live Flashscan is coming soon.Has all the features of EFI plus PC logging for a period of 8 minutes, input for wideband O2.LED display and RE-Flashing.
As I understand you can drive and re-map as you monitor. Oh,need a passenger to do the mapping!!!

I spent a couple of hours reading through the EFI Live forum last night.

I like the idea of splitting the license into groups ie. 1-2 for single owners - 3-10 for friends - 10-25 for clubs or something simular!

As of this moment in time there is no price but a group purchase could be cost effective.

I have spoken to Mark from "LS1 Edit Australia" about having a mail order tune sent over. It cost about £300 exchange (pcm) or you could have a new PCM for £150 more.

But he felt that a mail order tune on a standard car would produce small gains and you need sort out CAI, MAF, exhaust to make good gains.

But tuning a standard car with EFI & EDIT could produce some good results. He also said he had experience of the UK cars as he tuned the firebreathing red Ute. that Mark at LSV sold!

As the Monaro will bring another 300 or so new owners to the LS1 engine now is a good time to look at the options!
