British GT Championship
Discussion
I thought I would start a new Topic just for the GT Championship which emotional engineering are racing a Monaro in.
The car is in the N-GT Class but did not race this weekend but was unvailed to the public.
Here are a couple of pictures of the car. More pictures and info can be found on there web site www.emotional-engineering.co.uk/

Yes mate, the car looks great, like the paint job.
I see the N-GT class run cars up to 400hp, so I think the car is running the 350 (5.7) engine. Must be restricted some. Still good enought to kick some ass !
I think they may step up a class later and up the Horsepower.
I read a very good article in Australian Muscle Car, Issue 11 and an interview with Garry Rogers about the Monaro's dominating the Bathurst 24hr and the fact that some people are not happy with the Monaro running the 7 litre.
Garry Rogers had two answers to that,
ONE; Is that if someone was to build a Dodge Viper the way we built the Monaro we wouldn't see which way it went, so our critics should firstly go about getting things in order. By that I mean getting drivers who are professional drivers who can realy drive, rather than, (I won't go on about what he called them).
TWO; If we were to build a car with a 5.7 litre engine and we didn't have to cop the rev limits and the air restrictors, the car would be faster than it is now. That's a fact.
The way it is now, the horsepower is a lot less than we would be able to produce from a 5.7 litre engine without the restrictions.
He also said he would love to run the car a Daytona (24hr)2005.
I wish them well in the British Championship and want to attend a few of the meetings this year. I was intending to go to Donington until I saw the car was not running. Would still have gone if I knew the car was there for the Launch.
Catch ya L8R,
Rob.
