1/4 mile times for VXR8

Hi All

What are your times and mph for stock VXR8 manual and auto.

Also wondering what an intake, catback and ECM tune give you in time and mph

13.8@104mph stock with just roller rockers

12.6@114mph with LS7 and other odds and ends

Ive not seen anyone UK side do a faster quarter than that yet. But Id like to see if anyone has. Im sure it wont be too long before someone does.

I drag race my other car and wanted an idea of what I can expect from my new auto VXR8. I have a BMW with a stroked 454 that runs 8.6.

Never had mine on track standard but best time is 12.9 at 112mph, mime is auto, dyno'd at only 380 rwhp

Thats manual. Street tyres etc.

Nice job on the BMW, is that an LSx block or a BBC?

The 8.6 is with a BBC on slicks with a transbraked powerglide. Pretty much a full drag car and not street legal.

The engine is 496ci and naturally aspirated (went on the dyno at 796bhp)

I think Global-i or Crestaracing got a 12.4 or maybe better. Not sure.
Gareth has done a 12.2 in the Ute. So no offical 11 sec runs from anyone yet.

Maybe if Munkey or Wormus can get some traction they will be there.

Autocar got 14.2 @ 103mph from an early LS2 (That registration DE51 RED "Desired" get about a bit). That is by experienced motoring journalists with no investment in keeping the car in one piece. So it puts into prospective how good Ringram's time is.

I have the the 6.0 auto ls2 completely standard and ran a 13.8

Actually found the timing slip 12.478 @ 114.68 back in 2009.

Interesting.
I am at RAF Leuchars this Saturday for this "Race the runway" event up against McLaren P1 ..............until it was trashed apparently. Its been replaced by a Ferrari La Ferrari, there's supposed to be all sorts of Hyper/Super cars present so should be a giggle letting my junk yard dog loose in amongst that lot. I'll post my times just to give everyone a good laugh.
