Hi - i'm in New Zealand, and being a die-hard HSV fan was just looking for some new sites, etc. and found this. I'm originally from the UK (moved to New Zealand when I was 6) and while I knew you had some HSV's over there, it's good to see theres a lot of fans. It's funny to hear you say how rare they are there, because in New Zealand (and Australia), while they arent extremely common, there's quite a few around. I've got a 2002 HSV VX2 Clubsport 15th Anniversary Edition in Delft Blue. From what I can understand, your GTS is the equivalent to our Clubsport, and your GTS-R is the equivalent to our GTS. Our GTS-R is different again, there was only ever a limited run of them (VR or VS shape from memory, and they were all in "Atomic Yellow").

Do any of you have any good pictures of your cars? I'd be interested to see how different they are, particularly the decals, etc. I'm happy to post some pictures of my car too if any of you are interested in seeing them. Where are you in the UK, and how often would an HSV be seen there? I've got family and friends over there obviously, and wonder if any of them would have seen an HSV.

Have a look at www.hsvdriversclub.co.uk, there are some owner's pictures on there and hopefully the webmaster will be putting some more up today after the Ace Cafe meet yesterday.

Sorry I havent had a chance to revisit this topic - been a bit busy lately. Thanks for the info on where to look, etc. I'll see if i can get some better pics of my car, but for now here's a couple:

As I said, these are the anniversary model. There's more info on the 15th anniversary production run at www.hsv.com.au/cars/15anniversary/
They have a couple of pictures and more info on it there - including pictures, my own ones don't really do it justice, particularly the colour of it. One of the pictures (the one that pretty much made me decide to order my car) which is much more what it looks like then my own pictures, is below:

Also, TidyKiwi - where abouts are you from in NZ?

Hi Zylex and welcome

That motor looks a beaut. Whats the kW rating on your model???

When I got my HSV last year, I was driving up our street and stopped to finish putting my seat belt on. A bloke walking on the foot pash camer across and asked where I got the car from.

He carried on to explain he was an Aussie and said the car was class. The sound of it made him happy and reminded him of home. He said he heard it coming up the street and knew full well waht it was.

Hey Jagsy - yeah as road terrorist said, it's the 255kw model. I've done a few modifications to it, the main ones being exhaust and air filter, and it's dyno'd at 242.6kw @ rear wheels.

Tidykiwi - was born in the UK funnily enough (Chelmsford apparently), moved to New Zealand when I was six - to Wellington, where I still live now.
