Monaro VXR 6.2 alloy wheel colour code

Hi anyone! Nothing in the FAQs etc - does anyone know if there is an official code or description for the original silver Monaro VXR wheels please?

Having mine refurbished and want to advise the refurbished.

(Refurbisher is suggesting ‘Hyper Silver’’ - whatever that is (that’s from a picture I showed him).

Is your VXR 500 wheel colour the same as a standard small boot Monaro VXR?

It certainly is - here's a picture of my 'old' Silver Monaro with the original colour I want to replicate. (My current VXR 500 has a grey tint).

I think the colour was described as shadow chrome in sales catalogues and was a silver over black process . I had mine done in smoked chrome by the wheel specialist which I thought was as near match as possible

Just got the car back - went with the same in the end (black base & shadow chrome). Very happy with the results. :-)
