Adelaide: National Motor Museum
Discussion
Just returned from an Antipodean adventure. Stayed in Adelaide for a few days. A cruise around New Zealand followed by a short stay in Melbourne.
RipGMH took me to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood, in the hills beyond Adelaide. A very impressive place, mainly about Holden but lots of other stuff.

Well worth saving up for, I highly recommend the experience
Interestingly, I hardly saw any Monaro's. Apparently they are worth more than twice the UK values. Consequently, they are put away as investments.
There are lots of weekend get togethers, informal show and shine where the first 1960's HK, HT etc and our VZ are proudly displayed
I was at the Port Noarlunga (south of Adelaide) meet, no VZ's because they'd gone to a big Monaro event in Melbourne. There was this immaculate straight 6 HK though.
And a couple of VF's.

I'm not sure the Monaro concept actually had a name - I've never heard it called "Matilda"before.
The circumstances that led to them being in SA are sad, but it is nice that they aren't just kicking about GM's HQ in Melbourne.
I took this in Feb 2017 - not sure why they were all parked in the foyer but it was great to see so many at once.
Back L to R: Colorado, Monaro 427 (I think), Hurricane, Efijy
Middle: Cruze, Utester, Monaro
Front: SSX (AWD V8 VY Hatchback), Marilyn
Efijy and Hurricane are my favourites - they both sound awesome.
