Good to see some familiar faces around the V8’s today at crail.
Loved the vxr silver Monaro and i apologise because I still never got your name even though we met years ago at knockhill I always thought you were big wheel ::
I never got a chance to get a pic of the engine with the super charger it looked amazing with they red covers you’ve put on. Loved it.
Good seeing Paul hitting the quarter mile in the gtr.
Looked more like “Take off” instead of “launch”

If well fans still has a look on here give me a shout and we’ll get a Hamilton or Motherwell vxr8 mini meet for a coffee

Hi, I was at Crail way back in 2000 and something with my Odyssey Monaro.
It's been a while since being with Bob Wellfans.

That was my first time at crail! pretty good for a drag strip in Scotland I reckon. Bet it could be a bit mental in the busy days like German invasion or the jap days.
Really like that Monaro it’s made me think about swapping the vxr8

I was a Crail on Sunday with my LS powered Morris Minor, but only noticed 1 VX8R on the strip - the bronze one with all the tuning mods. I'd have thought more would have tried it out as it was a quiet day. I'm sure the bronze one got the fastest vauxhall over 2500cc, but I thought the times were very slow for the power it had.

Best I got was 12.69 @112 which is not as good as usual, Best I've had was 12.2 @ 117mph.
