Black Supercharged Monaro on eBay
Discussion
My eldest son has spotted a black supercharged Monaro on eBay for £13,495, looks decent enough, anyone know the car ?
Would link but am at work and cant get on eBay, but will put it on later and there arent many on there.
He has a 350Z and a Golf diesel at the moment, and is looking for its replacement, keeps going back to that.
Any info gratefully received.

It's been mentioned a few times, my impression from the advert was it looked a good car and a good price. Those are VXR8 wheels on it and they really suit it.
Anyway, I think some people mentioned the MOT history, I didn't look in to it but worth a check (as always!)
Link here. I feel like it was £15k originally, and still felt it was a decent price then

Have had a look at the MOT, some rusty brake discs are hardly surprising as it does no miles. Brake lines to the rear everyone says are a pain but I replaced all of mine with kunifer and it was easy enough despite never having done it before, so make of that what you will. They're a pretty standard thing to need replacing at some point as inevitably the lines rust where the rubber mounts trap water etc., if it's likely to be a long term keeper he'd probably have to do them on whatever example he bought (unless they'd been done already), so personally wouldn't bother me.
Likewise with some bushings and things, they're not expensive or hard to do, maybe can use the MOT as a bit of a haggling point. It looks so good in the pictures I'd struggle to be particularly objective about it anyway

Real bargain at the price point it is-it certainly takes into account the brake lines etc, although these are still servicable assuming the car is still in same condition bodily and mechanicaly that is sold it in
the seller will likely give any buyer new front discs and new rear lines [the flexis-all 4]
real good buy for someone

Cheers guys, he has kind of decided to not pursue it as he is 27 and the insurance was £1500, can afford it, just doesnt want to spend that much on insuring a car and will wait a bit. I said to try a specialist broker.
One of my brother's has a HSV Monaro, insured with A-Plan , they seem to know a little bit about them. J4CKO said:

I had my Monaro from 24 and it was ~£700, possibly just found an unfriendly insurer.A-Plan Thatcham (that branch deals with modified cars) would be worth a call, don't let the dream die...!
Also, looking at the pictures of the exhaust / underside, it looks impressively clean under there.
