Hi all,

Owned my 2004 CV8 for just over a year now. This forum has given me lots of advise on my project so thought I'd come say hi and thanks! Always fun to see people's faces when they see a Sheila driving one of these!

Here's Marilyn..

I've done alot of work to her with help occasionally from the other halfs muscles. Including pedders low kit and all superpro bushes. Lots of other bits and bobs done and waiting. Just finished new fuel lines as she sprang a leak. Next week I've got a quick rack to put on

Hi and welcome to the forum. Car looks and no doubt sounds great, nice to see another in the best colour (though I may be biased) .. Impulse Blue really highlights the super clean lines of the early Monaros. I've had mine for over 12 years now and every drive is still an event.

Ha ha i know both of those places well, Gaydon gathering and C&M. You local to Warwickshire? If so there are a bunch of us who go to Gaydon every month. If it was the last Gaydon meeting, I couldn't go, as I think i'd remember your plate. Looks like a lovely example.

PM if you are local as me and my mate who both have Ro's regularly go to C&M as we only live down the road!

Thank you, it was sold to me quite cheaply by MWP because it didn't meet their high standards lol. I'm very happy with the progress it's like a different car now. I've tidied up a few bits under the bonnet too, most proud of my holden engine cover lol

I'm West mids, about 20 miles out of Birmingham. Yep that was the last Gaydon gathering last year, great to see so many of you out then I wasn't expecting it!

I was very lucky as a few people had put deposits down but got covid so couldn't collect. I think I just felt sorry for it lol

One of my best mates has a nice Black CV8 as well. We also have another friend who has a CV8 in the same colour as yours (not as shiny though) Hope to see you at the next Gaydon kick off in April

Looking forward to a few more meets this year as it spent most of last year on the stands having work done, but I bought to take on as a project and I enjoy it so not complaining

Here's a few things that have been going on with WRR (that's not me holding the strut down it was fooked)

You might want to take a look at this...i've already been in touch with the guy concerned. He's based in Warwick and said he will do a discount for groups who want their engine bay's doing. Basic cost is £200..sounds expensive but then consider the results (unreal) the lack of damage, time, cost of chemicals and then you realise its a bargain!

I would be happy to get something going if enough people are interested

What's this, a thread that I've not posted an engine bay picture in? Unacceptable!

Turn the jet wash to max and blast that ABS bracket out of the way too hehe

Count me in, it's been on my list to get the engine bay cleaned, I just couldn't really find a decent place

Having checked with the guy, if we get three confirmed cars, he can do us a deal for £150 per car...that's a cracking deal for what you get. Let me know if any of you are interested other than Marilyn

Helped my mechanic fit the pedders quick rack today with new track rod ends and poly bushed rack mount bushing. All went smoothly even with the slightly rusty power steering pipes.
Still need it tracked and bled a little more but first impressions are great!
