Afternoon all,

I've had a set of CV8 calipers (the twin piston sliding ones) knocking around for a while that I intended to stick on my Omega once they had been refurbished. Currently they are not suitable for us as they are very manky.

I've been in touch with a very highly recommended caliper company, unfortunately they have turned down the work as they say they cannot get hold of the parts any more.

Does anyone know of a potential source anywhere for seals and pistons? Am I right in thinking that these are the same caliper used on the C5 Vette and Pontiac GTO - if so, would somewhere in america stock the bits?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Just look on RockAuto for a 2004 Pontiac GTO, it's the same car but in LHD.

They stock caliper repair kits and pistons, looks like you could get the seals and new pistons for a pair of front calipers for about £20 plus shipping.

They have an expedited shipping option which pre-pays any duty due (shouldn't be the case here) and usually you have parts in a few days to a week.

FYI a pair of remanufactured calipers starts around £110 plus shipping etc, parts are pretty cheap over there, don't pay a fortune to refurb over here.
