Hello all. Few niggling questions after a couple months ownership of my VXR8. If anyone has any input would love to hear it

First off, radio upgrades. Seen a few different ones (Aerpro kits seem most common), any good/bad experiences? Things that work well, or don't especially with the HVAC?

That leads me onto side badges (under the side grill). At some point mine were changed and I can see the "black film" underneath is damaged in spots. What's the deal with this film? Can it just be removed or is it not the normal paintwork underneath? Tell me its not one of those things that's going to be a pain to replace just for aesthetics?

Finally ... Service/MOT - I'm SW London/Surrey anyone got any recommendations? I used to take my 350z to Abbey Motorsport but I'm a little further out now. Got a performance/Aston place nearby that just sold a GTS-R that would do it but as their normal valet is £200 (£900 if you want in and out plus ceramic coating) I get the impression they might be less reasonable than some alternatives.

Regarding the badges, I've had all of them removed and replaced from my Monaro , there is nothing unusual about them and the paint underneath should be fine.

Good to know. I have replacement badges but didn't really want to just stick them over the top of the damaged "film" stuff. Will just rip it off when it's not -6 out haha
