My 2004 VZ , passenger side front window glass is jamming about 1/3 the way down,as it lowers.
Had a good auto glass man out to look at it.
The black covered aluminium trim that is bonded to the glass ( on the front edge) ,is now unbonded and split, so it doesn't slide smoothly in the much larger female channel that is fixed to the door frame.
Any positive ideas?
Thanks
Simon .

This may not help but worth a try, in the past when my windows go slow when raising I have used household polish in the channels, spray the channels and work it in with your finger then put the window up and down a couple of times, worrh a shot?

It's well beyond that I'm afraid. The black guide ,which should be bonded to the glass has debonded and is damaged.
Anyone had this ?
Where might I get a new ( good secondhand) slide from to bond back onto the glass?
Or failing that ,a good passenger side front window from a scrapper?

Vauxhall omega glass will fit. I had some ballsack break my drivers window (vt2 ) once. Funnily the cops found him sitting in my car and nicked him . I took a gamble buying an omega glass for £35 , and it actually fitted, same tint, only difference being it wasn't pilkington glass

An Omega glass will fit a Monaro? Are you sure? The doors are longer on a Monaro and the roofline slightly different.
I can understand the VT being swappable because that is also a 4 door saloon...

I had exactly the same on my passenger window on my monaro but what made it worse was it pushed the handle on the outside of the door out and the door flew open on a tight right hand bend. I eventually found the piece at the bottom of the channel but it was undamaged and I got it bonded back on, it didn't work first time so he used a much stronger epoxy second time and it's been fine since.
