Hi all, working my way through fluid changes on my monaro

I want to change the intercooler fluid for the charger-it looks like blue coolant in the bottle-can anybody confirm this-a nice 50/50 mix as normal be ok?
When adding the friction modifier to the redline diff oil most say just a few ccs[its the thicker stuff iirc 75/140] is a few ccs 10/20? -what do folk normally use-its just a road car, wont see track/abuse -just a fast cruiser so dont need the diff to be too brutal...

A decent 75w140 GL-5 synthetic. I would be interested to know if the friction modifier is actually needed.

Yep, Castrol Syntrax has proved to be the best I've used in the Monaro diff, tried Royal Purple, Millers and others with friction modifiers but the diff runs smoothest with the Syntrax and no modifier.

already bought the redline kit,so will need to proceed with it
previous owner had used it also,no issues, plenty grip and bite/quiet on the road,so it works well for what i need

Same done all the friction modifier route in the early days, what a faff, then did millers, very good IMO but needs changing regular.

Syntrax simply the best, pour in and forget (I am 14 years in to Monaro ownership)

OP ditch the kit save yourself the hassle go with Syntrax, otherwise you will be at it for weeks trying to get the correct cocktail.

Terry if you are installing a Tru trac or Wave trac you should not use any friction modifiers. (As per the instrcutions with the new diff)

diff oils...
i deffo thin kthe redline stuff has a place[no not the bin lol] good for folk looking for as agressive an action as you can get-as you can tinker with the additive-after research 4% is recommendedfor quiet road use

The reason i was going to change it is i had drivetrain slop-but have scince found out centre prop bearing rubber is goosed-its redline in the diff at the moment from previous owner too
