Hi everyone, first time posting. Apologies if this has been covered before, but I have a 04 cv8 (love it) and the rear window trim is a bit tired. It’s the outside trim, surrounding the rear windows.
I’m assuming this part is impossible to get, so wondered what solutions people may have used?

Thanks!

There is a set on Oz Ebay but they might be $$$. Times it by .56 to get pounds.
USA next....
Guessing they might be reproduction parts

And then multiply that figure by about 1.78 to get the inevitable price after shipping, duty, VAT and credit card exchange rate losses hehe

Whether from the US or Australia, things seem to inevitably end up costing 1 : 1 the price in their respective $.

^^^ The parts linked above are NOT the window trims. They are the guide rails that hold the trim that runs across the entire roof front to back, to the rear window. Clips are used along the roof line to hold the rest of the trim in place.
These guide rails are bonded to the rear glass, and your old ones will need removing, but I'm guessing these are not what you need anyway.

These are the correct links.

However, most of their 'email for price' items are obsolete and they can't get them anymore. I know because I've enquired about several trim bits before. Worth an ask though.

There are one or two breakers on eBay that sell bits of trim like these, however it will be probably no better or worse than your existing trims looking at the pictures. A lot of rubbish out there. Best bet is to keep yours nice and clean and treat with some sort of rubber/plastic care product. I use Autoglym bumper care.

Ah yes, silly me, they come off the roof line, like rubber coated metal.
I had a set on back order a long long time ago. It took a year to 18 months for them to arrive in massive 6 feet long boxes.

Ah good shout. I did wonder if an independent business would exist for such a thing. Shame it’s not a standalone part and comes with the window!
