For those of you not on Facebook where I shared the video yesterday, the engine I've been building fired up for the first time yesterday.
Luis Sola was connected in remotely (until 11pm his time!) to monitor things and update the tune, we ran with the MAF initially and then ditched it as ultimately it'll be on an SD tune.
So, here we go:
Luis had to go to bed so called it there, he's already sent me an updated tune.
No leaks, no smoke, no explosions etc, it all went very smoothly
It sounds f
king angry, seems to rev up really sharply with very little throttle input, and in the car the idle is 'aggressive' shall we say

It does, I wasn't planning on running cutouts to be honest, but the sheer insanity of that noise has tempted me Sounds absolutely amazing with open headers!

the exhaust going on does have rear silencers so it'll be appreciably more sensible than open headers, I'll likely be taking it to work on Fridays at least but the neighbours I'm friends with like the noise so it'll probably be fiiiiine 99PBATR said:

Thanks mate, yeah it's all about the nasty idle, that's what captured my imagination as a kid, so now as a bigger kid it's a real box ticked to have built a big angry orange engine that goes chop chop fred bloggs said:

Its not complete until I see a skid video though.
Cheers, I'm slowly starting to accept that it runs alright but I think until it's run in the tension won't entirely subside. Once it is though, it's getting warmed up and sent to hell unrelentingly Its not complete until I see a skid video though.
