G'day Graham, If you really want something that will turn heads, have a gander at the Holden Crewman, dual cab ute with the V8..

A ute? An excellent choice if i may say so!!! You won't be disappointed. Ok, i'm biased as i have one too!

Be sure, however, that full UK registration is included in any offer for a new ute. These vehicles now require to go through SVA2, which is serious grief, especially compared to how easy it used to be.

There are others on this forum who will testify to this. I imported mine prior to this requirement.

Of course, if you buy secondhand, this won't be a problem.

Hope this helps

Now it's even harder to get a new one through as the camper van / ambulance loop holes have been closed so I have been told.

Linden have got one. They crop up from time to time on Auto Traders site as well. Depends how quickly you want one. Holden-ute.co.uk were selling theirs recently, they may still have it. They're in Petersfield, Hants, ten miles north of Portsmouth.
Linden in Northants must be much nearer to you in Kidderminster.

Graham, you're not the guy who pulled me over at the entrance to the Silverstone GP and I pointed this way are you?

Either way try these guys:

www.holden-utes.co.uk

They might save to time, money and effort.

You must must must get a V8 Ute!
I am out in Oz at the moment on a 6 month uni exchange from the UK and those beasts are everywhere!
Get a Black or Silver Maloo V8 SS Ute with 2 bags of cement permanently in the back!
I would love one in the UK in a few years!

On my last visit to Linden SV back in March, I met the owner of a red HSV Maloo (VX). He was very reluctantly selling it via Linden. This is a not the red SS Ute advertised on the Linden site. No idea if this HSV was sold, but worth a call to Linden to check.

Graham, didn't realise you were so close. I live just up the road in Worcester. Kiwi HSV also lives here and has got a Maloo R8 and a Clubsport. If you want to look over a ute or have a blast in it send me an e-mail. MATT
