Hey Folks, I sold my last VXR8 (number 3) in 2016 after 2 years, and then went on a spree of different cars, BMW 640I, Toyota GT86 Aero, Subaru Impreza GB270....and have now returned to the fold with 57' plate VXR8. Fastest colours obviously (Red) LS2 manual. Beautiful machine. The wortec exhaust sounds fantastic! I don't remember the gearbox (T56) feeling as good on number 3 as this one, ultra smooth, slots in perfectly smoothly and reverse is easy to find.

Obviously this thread is worthless without photos but you shall have to wait till tomorrow since it's dark and she is all tucked up in the garage.

Thanks to DT Performance in Atherstone!

Welcome back Dave, it’s a little quieter on here these days but still lots of good advice when you need it…

Looking forward to the pics and full spec smile

Atherstone...not too far away..Warwick based here. When it starts back up I highly recommend the Gaydon Gathering at Gaydon Motor Museum. Its usually the second Tuesday in the month and the first this year is April 12th. Its an amazing turnout usually and we have most times, 3 Monaros and a VXR8 attend as well as a host of local and not so local exotica.

I also believe there is an Aussie Day on the 29th Jan at Caffeine & Machine near Stratford if anyone is interested. We had a great day back in September for the HSV and Holden day at C&M

So both my keys were mangled and pretty much destroyed. I ordered 2 replacement cases from ebay Australia and set about swapping the electronics, transponder and key blade over. Pretty simple if you have the right tools and can free the transponder....

So for a grand total of 22AUD and £15 getting a set of domed stickers made here is the result!

Look good!
Thankfully you had the 2 old transponders. I lost one of mine and trying to get the new one reprogrammed is a bit of a nightmare!

Nightmare! They are really small, and mine looked to have been glued in to their slots, so 10 minutes with a small file was needed to get them out. Naturally the fly across across room readily as well!
