Hello Everyone.

Could anyone confirm if the pre-facelift 04 or 05 plate Monaro LS1 CV8s are ULEZ compliant please?

According to Autotrader they are compliant but when I've checked on the TFL website their system cannot find Monaro car registrations. I understand petrol cars need to meet the Euro 4 emissions standard to be compliant and the car's "minimum emission standard" is stated on the vehicle logbook.

The reason I ask is that I'm weighing up the economic Pros and Cons of owning cheaper to tax Monaros versus VXR8s before deciding which model to buy.

Many thanks,

Paul.

I've been told that diesel cars registered after 09 and petrol after 06 are compliant.
Don't know how true this is I know my VXR8 is ok.

Not true at all, there is no generic answer as simple as that

My last daily diesel was not ULEZ and was 2012. As are many others.

I've checked my 04 LS1 VXR against the TFL website and it says it is ULEZ compliant.

Thanks for your replies.

It's good news that the Monaros are ULEZ compliant - it's one less cost to worry about.

All the best,

Paul.

I'm absolutely stunned that an 04 Monaro is ulez ok! But good luck to you! I hadn't even bothered to check the Commodore, and even my 05 Legacy isn't allowed in...

The only vehicle I have that is allowed is an 09 Peugeot 207, but it's so gutless and boring I hardly use it.
