One of my P/S pipes has let go. Anyone know where to source them? Rang Stuart at AAS and they can't get them anymore but said if they find some old ones they may be able to make copies. Anyone else had these fail?

The high pressure line from pump to rack for monaro 2005>LS2 VZcars is manufactured by Kelpro and is available via ebay .au KELPRO HPS088
If its a 2004 ls1 cv8 i believe its a different number possibly Kelpro HPS068 but you would need to check that yourself.
There is a company in the uk that i believe some of the facebook group have used that maybe able to help
http://www.powersteeringstore.co.uk/
I dont think they list them but have definitely done Vxr8 and may have done monaro .

The low pressure one from rack to cooler is available for both models here
https://www.ultimatepowersteering.com.au/
(If you have a pedders quick rack i believe you need the older vx line even if you have a vz as quick racks are all vx pipe fitment)

The low pressure pipe from cooler to pump can be easily made from 10mm steel/copper/rubber pipe.

And the cooler itself replaced for a universal item.

As a last resort you can get your old one patched up with hydraulic hose at somewhere like Pirtek to get you mobile

Which pipe, high or low pressure? I've got the ones off my LS2 Monaro in the shed, I'm half of the mind I cut a fitting off one end for someone else, but if you just need a set to get some made up (or just have a fitting put on the end...) I could post them out to you / AAS.

If not, there are adapters to go from the rack / PS pump fitment to AN fittings, so could make some up that way.

Most pipes can be re-made one way or another.

If they have the vehicle there, or the old pipe complete, it shouldn.t be too hard

Thats the low pressure one from rack to cooler but as you have said best to replace any that are corroded. Do you have a quick rack fitted ?

If its leaking at the nut joint on the rack thay are known to crack if over tightened

04 Vx/y/2 cars have the high and low pressure pipe in opposite positions. when fitting a quick rack to a vz car the pipes are switched around and may need manipulation to get in place (the tang sticking out on your high pressure pipe would have originally fitted against the low pressure).

You can fit the earlier model low pressure pipe if you have a quick rack to save having to manipulate a later type pipe

When i fitted my quick rack to 05 vxr (VZ) i was told by monkfish to fit the early model low pressure pipe
Im pretty sure your 05 cv8 will be the same VZ so you too can fit the earlier pipe to the quick rack

You could still pm monkfish1 or roger at pedders.uk to confirm

The pipe needs modifying though as the pump is different.

Just to confirm as mine was obviously in pieces and no longer has standard lines, on the quick rack, is the high pressure the upper and low pressure the lower one? hehe I'll have pictures somewhere but thought it worth asking.

Just goes to show, anything can be repaired.
AAS are definitely a great bunch and have certainly helped to keep a good few Monaro on the road, mine included.
