never had that before , is it definitely cat material , if it was me wait for next mot and take it from there , a decent exhaust place can change the cats , maybe not cheap but sports cat time unless it’s fitted already with sports cats ?

Hi
i have a basani 2.5" stainless fitted to the car as the original was a pile of rubbish and had other mufflers welded on
and i got this for a bargin ...250Eur second hand i good condition

im thinking of either geet new cats welded on
or
bach out the material in the original cat and mount a spark plug non fouler to trick the secondary O2 sensor
or
fit a long tube and cats

I know what all of you think but at this time i dont have the time to lay on the car for a headers rebuild and tune

Im sure Ive got 200 cell cats on my car? Give AAS in Newcastle a call as they fitted them.
No doubt you will have to do both sides to keep things right unless you stick to a standard size.

None work best.

However, none does not work best for MOT/NCT or whatever you have to pass in terms of emissions tests.

If you need them for an mot, then you need them. Id also look at why they overheated, because if not, you may toast the new ones.
