VXR8 LS3 2009

Evening all
I was curious to know what the BHP is of a 2009 6.2 VXR8 with a Stage 1 Wortec kit (I guess exhaust, ECU map, sports air filter) over the standard 440 BHP or so?
Does the kit remove the 155mph limit and if so what would the top end be?

standard ls3 is 425 bhp , you would be around 500 bhp with the mods , the limiter removal is a separate issue to a re map , top speed around 175 mph

I don't think those mods will give you 500 h.p. You would probably need to change the cam to get 500+ n.a. h.p.
I had the Monkfish campac fitted and on a dyno it was making 380 at the wheels, Roger from monkfish had a laptop plugged in and reckoned it was making 510 at the crank. My car is an LS3 auto.

It depends on the car , mine was 393 at the wheels on srr so as best as i can say around the 500 bhp mark , ls3 hsv maloo n/a manual

Unbelievable what our cars lose from crank to wheels, hard to understand if am honest, the frictional loss is quite frankly pathetic.
Can somebody explain? am sure other cars from the same area can't be the same?

from the subaru side of cars , it appears most cars are pretty much the same , so it’s a level playing field , even more lost with a four wheel drive

The Walkinshaw Power Pack (Air Filter, Cat Back Exhaust and ECU Map) claims to give 25-30bhp over standard. I suspect the Wortec equivalent will give pretty much the same gains.
So you're probably looking 450ish...

My first Monaro (LS1 obviously) made 486.2 at the crank and 396.8 at the wheels on SRR. That was with the Monkfish ‘barely MOTable’ need a friendly tester cam in it and LS2 heads with a Wortec (Paul Spinks?) map. As said earlier you’d need more than a stage 1 Wortec kit for 500Bhp
