Supercharger V8 Omega anyone?

Must be a riot to drive!
Imagine being in something like an old 911 at the lights when this blows you away!

Craig at Dynotorque built one of these, albeit a white one that stayed NA, but was similar in terms of lots of Monaro bits underneath, although they had to chop and narrow the subframe and such to fit under the Omega.
Awful wheels on that one, but otherwise a great sleeper
Can't imagine it'll sell for a lot though, bid is currently at £8,500 which is a lot of drivetrain for the money at least

I stumbled across this car on eBay earlier today. If the work has been done well this must be an awesome load-lugger. Vauxhall / Opel really should have been brave enough to make these in the factory.
I did read somewhere that opel were thinking to do the LS in an omega, but it did not stand up to autobahn testing. It would overheat on long full throttle stretches. Probably not enough airflow in the engine bay. fred bloggs said:

I don't believe anyone is willing to pay £20k plus for an Omega estate with some Monaro bits in it.
The pictures are shoddy too, different wheels, different stages of the build (with / without supercharger), I just don't see a genuine buyer throwing that sort of money at that car.

Reserve not met?! This must be a hoax or something.
And as someone else has put, nobody surely would pay that sort of money for an old Omega estate?
I'd say its worth £8k tops, but that's just me.
Yeah, as with all manual LS drivetrains, the oily bits are worth £5k easily, supercharger on it another couple of thousand perhaps, and then after that, you've got a chopped up old Omega estate on some dodgy wheels. And as someone else has put, nobody surely would pay that sort of money for an old Omega estate?

Yes it's had a lot of time put into it (possibly, or it's a right old bodge job, you'll not know until it falls apart on you) but really £10k at best if someone really does like their Omegas / sleepers. Perhaps his wife has told him it has to go, so he's put it up on ebay to prove it won't sell...

it does sound a little off....but that video in general is absolutely cringeworthy. Scary to think he has 1/2M subscribers !Gassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
