Only heard today about this new fuel we will soon be seeing on forecourts (more here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/e10-petrol-explained#c...

I assume most of us will simply keep using super unleaded, but if you have no option it would be good to know if it's OK.

Anyone heard anything as I don't trust the checker?

Doing a quck google search, Aussies seem to have been using E10 for a decade now. People have also put E10 fueled cars on dynos etc. So I don't think we'll have a problem. Although it'll be a dark day in hell before I ever put regular in mine!

VE2 V8s will run on E85.

IIRC it was something to do with a potential change in emissions rules. They didn’t change so it was dropped.

I was thinking about this the other day. E10 will be on sale from September so how long it will be before regular 95 will be unavailable I'm not sure.
Mind you I run on 95 most of the time as I can never tell the difference between Tesco 99 or regular 95 anyway. Hopefully Monaro's will be E10 compatible ?

I expect they'll be fine, the fuel line back to front is metal, there's a bit of hose at each end, both of which are easily replaceable with AN fittings if they do suffer for some reason, can't see the rest of it being a problem, loads of people run LS engines on E85.

Most, if not all modern vehicles use nylon fuel lines, which are already resistant to ethanol.

Yes, I think you're right, the c5 Corvette and other LS engines seem to be OK.
