Try AAS located at Bells Close, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Depending on what you want you can get copper plugs which are the cheaper option or iridium which will last a very long time. Sorry I don't have the part numbers at the moment.

Readily available anywhere.

Just use a set of BCPR6ES if you aren't after anything fancy and it's relatively standard.

All that tapered seat crap is nonsense.

Cheers for the advice do not need anything fancy as on great tune as yet. It did have the AC delco plugs fitted but 3 have gone off! The car has been unused for about 3 years and only started to move it. Bought a set of 4 HR9LPP22Y but unable to find anymore!

Don't like Bosch plugs.

Just buy the NGK or Denso equivalent. Something like a Q20PRU

V8 in a MK2. I like the sound of this! I have a new set of NGK in shed for ls2 I bought of MWP and then never used as discovered there was platinum plugs in the car. Not sure if they the same as LS1 though. It would be Saturday before I could even get to post them though they if they are any use. But I’m sure they could be sourced locally cheaper as I think I seriously overpaid!

As above Iridium ones via rock auto via fed ex so that’s the full landed cost , they are not expensive considering you need 8 of them

I bought 16 NGK 2238s from RockAuto, worked out as £34.99 delivered, arrived in 3 days, it is ridiculous.

Not overly expensive.

I'd still just buy local normal plugs. I dislike those taper seat crap. It's a strangely American thing, very few Euro cars use that style.

AAS fitted AC Delco 41-110 plugs to my LS1.
A quick search reveals they are the OEM plug for this engine for anyone interested.

If you want to see pictures of the Escort search on here for 'Escort MK2 LS1 in orange'
Hopefully will try the plugs tonight but really need a willing helper as want to see the spark on the old plugs then the new, so need someone on the starter so to speak.

Hook this or similar up to the starter motor wiring so you can crank it remotely.
