Unfortunately I can’t help you with the history of any of those cars but my first thoughts are... they are all quite different.

I don't know anything about these particular cars but I think the Monaro and black VXR8 are overpriced!
I bought my VXR8 new in 2009 and paid £25,000 !

The E3 is lovely - interior is a step forward over the other 2. E3 is also way more rare than either of the others if you can live with the colour - it does kind of grow on you though.

James at Elite is also a top guy who has sold many many of these cars and knows his stuff. (I also have an E3 so may be biased here)

so the seller is known then and trusted?
how are they in terms of reliability? my main concern is getting parts for it and if it ever needed a new engine where would i go

Both MWP and Elite are well known and respected.

I’m sure Centurian are fine too but not really Holden/HSV specialists, although they have had a few for sale recently.

I think the Monaro and E3 are both fairly priced, all things considered.
The VXR8 looks very expensive. There are no details of the spec but I don’t think it’s worth that kind of cash regardless.

The silver monaro was owned by a lad on the Facebook group for hsv VXR8 and monaros, if you head there I'm sure he'd be happy to fill you in as it's a very nice car

I have bought 2 cars from James and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him. Many others on here with cars sourced from him.

In terms of parts, you can get stuff from WP and Aus but to be honest, a new engine would be the least of my worries (its an LS3 so not exactly scarce).

thats good to hear, i will drop him a message.
is it right you can buy an ls3 crate lump for about £5k? ive spent the last 7 years in impreza's so you will have to forgive my ignorance.
i have noticed the earlier vxr8's have the gearboxes replaced for a stronger unit, would that be the case with the 2011 vxr8 e3 shape?

thanks for taking the time to reply

I think you need to go test the big yellow one and the silver Monaro.
Got a funny feeling the power of the S/C'd Monaro will win you over and its got much less miles on than the others too.
My money would go on that one. Very nicely modified, well spec'd, the cheapest and the best to look at.

According to the dealer's Facebook selling page the silver Monaro is reserved.

It's hard to judge colour with all the lighting, but the doors aren't hanging right. The nearside door doesn't align up.

Yeah, the Supercharged Monaro was mine - great car, i'd bought it from MWP myself 2 years ago. Any questions, just ask - though i think it could be reserved already. smile

I'm 6ft 4in and you'll have more than enough leg and headroom in Monaros. Once you get used to the low-ish A-pillar.
Not a typical low slung coupe. smile

Not sure of the exact details re engines but that sounds about right. They are certainly available. You will have to work quite hard to blow up a standard engine though. The E3 should have the 6060 (stronger) gearbox and I think that it may also have an LS7 clutch as standard as well - which would be nice. The full WP exhaust including headers is nice - should sound very nice in loud mode.
