Monaro on this season’s Topgear?

Just seen the new footage of this season’s topgear and right at the beginning of the preview the 3 lads are in wetsuits and there are 3 cars on the right a yellow Ferrari in the middle a dark Tvr cerbera and on the left in half view a red monaro? I believe as I could only see the front side wing indicator and the side windows. You can see it on YouTube if you put In series 30 topgear preview you will need to be quick as it’s right at the beginning for about 1.5 seconds you will need to play with the pause icon

There’s also a shot from the passenger seat of Harris driving it. No gauges on top of the dash, so an early CV8.

Well done for spotting that. At least it’s the better driver so that’s what he would have chosen for himself. Unfortunately you know it will be abused!!!! But the odds are it will stand the abuse over the other troublesome pair

The TVR is a Chimaera, not a Cerbera. Monaro got a mention on the thread here (bit of cross pollination):

It's an 04 cv8, I was going to view it when it was for sale I chatted extensively with previous owner about it. Strangely it was blue when he sold it to them, I've put some pics of it on hsv forum on FB. It'd done about 140k, needed a bit of tlc but had a wortec exhaust and lpg fitted. Not been MOT'd since they bought it so I expect they killed it as per usual.....

Episode 3 of 4 on Sunday BBC1 8pm
I have a feeling the Monaro will be on Ep4 a week Sunday.
I hope I've not missed it in either Ep1 or 2.

I got my Monaro shortly after turning 24, and was also considering a TVR but knew it wouldn't survive being outside.

Sounds like I got my midlife crisis sorted pretty early

Mid-life crisis? More like the divorce is settled , the kids have grown up , and I finally have the space and the money to actually be able to own a Monaro. And I’m enjoying every minute of it too !

Well it got a bit of sideways action but at least not dented. Looked awesome against the TVR and kit car. Definitely the best car of the three. Still on SORN and no MOT. Assume it’s stored at Dunsfold.

Its also supposed to be blue!
But yes, the big red mk1 CV8 and Harris did us proud. They sound even better outside than they do in!
