Hello Everyone.

Is the Magnetic Ride Control system fitted to the VXR8 GTS reliable and capable of withstanding the tests of time?

I guess it'd be expensive to fix if it went wrong. Do any handling advantages outweigh the risk from the extra complexity versus conventional suspension systems?

Many thanks,

Paul.

I wouldn't have thought that MRC would offer any handling advantage over a decent coil over type arrangement which is obviously a much cheaper and simpler approach. What you would lose though would be ride quality and the immediate switchability.
I can't comment on the reliability of such a system, but it can't be more reliable than a spring and shock. And yes, it got to be expensive to fix when it goes wrong!

When it goes wrong just change it for a coilover setup
