VXR8 350mm Rear Discs
Discussion
I doubt you will get any bargains when it comes to brake discs for a VXR8 or a Monaro The usual places to buy would be Pedders UK, MW performance, or Walkinshaw performance.
You could try Reyland Motorsport they seem to have a good selection of brakes.
Sadly whenever I look at the prices of AP disc replacement they never seem to go down....I'm left with the usual feeling in the pit of my stomach....best described as something like this

i looked at eurocarparts they were listing what appeared to be rear discs for a vxr8 they were not too pricy , option 2 for me is pedders uk , i don’t suppose rock auto would list any thing ?
Be careful with this. I've just checked for my car and EuroCarParts were offering 288mm Diameter brake discs.Unfortunately HSV used AP mainly, whereas Holden and Chev had Brembo and there is more choice.

I can find them for $450 in Oz, but the postage is $$$$
EBC is easier to find the part number over there, than here.
D1771 and GD1771, one is plain, one dimpled.
Some other numbers I have found online which I wasn't aware of.
Bendix BR9606 < very well known for brake pads.
A related number is TD42031S which is a brand I haven't heard of. Top Performance which on further searching might be related to Bendix.
When I put this number in it came up cheaper to buy as a single than a pair, which is a bit odd. Make sure one is right and one left.

Another one is RDA. Number there is RDA7376 or RDA7376D one is plain, one is dimpled. These are commonly sold with EBC pads in Oz, not sure if they are related to EBC or not to be honest.

I use this seller a lot on their own website, maybe contact them (www.sparesbox.com.au)
I know they have sold stuff overseas in the past.

the rears are not cheap but by the time you ship from aus you may as well get the pedders ones , i think some one on here was taking about land rover brakes but i think it was front only ? maybe if some one has a brake manufacturer nearby it’s worth getting a few priced up and do a bulk buy but would that be any cheaper , the only plus side is because they are that big and don’t need to work as hard in normal driving at least they seem to take a while to wear out , had to change my rear r8 maloo ones but that’s the only set i’ve done in 8 years on both cars

Could you look through a disc catalogue and find something suitable, offset, pcd and diameter wise etc?
The drum brake for the handbrake will likely make alternatives very difficult.Gassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
