Oils??

Hi guys, im after some info if anyone out there has it!! Got a service to do on the Clubbie next week, can anyone tell me the best engine oil to use and what oil I need to get for the rear diff???

Good to meet you....gorgous looking car!!!

Everyone has there own thoughts on oils.....i changed my engine, gearbox and diff to redline (link on the club site) great service, great product and a club discount very knowledgeable to advise what is best.

Been reading back through the links on oil suggestions and it seems everyone goes for Redline for the diff, with the friction modifier, any tips as to where i can get some, tried to find a link on the club site but it seems to be down for some reason

Hi Mike,

Caspy's right. It's a very personal thing and unfortunately only you can decide what to use. FYI I recently added the following:

Engine: Valvoline 5w-40 F/S
Gearbox: GM Synchromesh
Diff: Morris Lodexol 80w-140 F/S

No problems with any of it. The GM Synchromesh did improve the shifting and the Wortec Shifter just topped it off.

Thanks Brian and comm ss v8, had read the old thread, great information. Will call Redline about the diff oil and will have a look about to see which of the mentioned engine oils I can find
