There was one on facebook, 90mm electronic throttle body, looked the same as my LS2 one on the Monaro...let me see if I can find it

The group name is at the top, you may need to join that first.

The colour of the blade is the important bit, check if yours is gold or silver as they’re not interchangeable.

As above, look at the part number. Bit of google tells me its 12570790 which yields quite a few options.

Try getting one for the 05 CV8. It was for one year only and only made for the Monaro. Like rocking horse poo!

Silver blades are pretty much non existent.

But I'd be surprised if a VXR8 is using the silver blade ? Older Monaro yes though.

Some have had success fitting gold blades instead, others have not.

they haven't been made for some time, and were only used on a short run of cars...and they tend to go faulty.
So even used is a gamble.

They're just not available new, re-manufactured or second hand easily.

Some places will list them in catalogues....but if you find any with one in stock you'd be very lucky, and prices are mental.

Thanks Stevie. I see lots of chinese TB's so guess that even those aren't suitable either.

I wouldn't even consider a mechanical throttle from China, nevermind a DBW ! lol

Even the likes of Rockauto do have a listing....but not available. Some places will also list them....but when you try and buy one, not available.

Presumably the Aussies / Americans have aftermarket options?

That electronic Nick Williams 102mm is pretty spendy though yikes Oh and needs the power steering pump relocating, classic American made 'bolt on' hehe

Looked at this a few years ago when mine kept going into limp mode, strangely hasn't happened since.

Moving forward this is very worrying to an extent, as we don't have enough cars in this country to warrant anyone wanting to get involved in repair or supply.

On a positive the Aussies will always have a solution, luckily I have family and friends there so that will help to keep mine going into the future.

Conclusion Vauxhall ( GM I know good business) did us no favours importing these cars as they have left us high and dry big time!

Silver blades are not available in the US either, nor likely Oz.

Although realistically, it's about the only part that is a bit of an issue ? And certainly on some Monaros, the gold blade does seem to work ok.
