I think there are some vauxhall delears that claim to be able to perform servicing, but i think they're few and far between and probably not very good.
Where in the country are you? Probably better to go to a local specialist

No doubt they can service them, I know my local Shorpe one does, but I guess the question is why would you?
They will be clueless about them now, and probably not too interested, so your unlikely to anything other than an average job.
I reckon a decent local independent with a great reputation would be a better bet.
Otherwise there a few 'specialists' across the country, I can recommend AAS in Newcastle based on my experience with them. Its a 2hr drive, but they know both the Monaro and VXR8 very well and stock some service parts.

In all honesty you would be better off going to Greggs, at least you would get a decent coffee and a good sandwich.
Don't waste your time at Vauxhall, they were utter crap even when the cars were new.

Going by your user name you're not far from North Kent. Try Neil at N.W.J he works on a lo tof Monaros and VXR8's.
He's not far off the M20 via Blubell Hill or the M2 taking the Walderslade junction.

Motor bodies in Luton were pretty good but they were a “Masterfit” centre. They managed to source and fit a new gearbox for mine within 24 hours all under warranty.

.....13 years ago.

Now I’d take it to a decent independent.

Some do say I'm a bit of a jester some say a lot worse!!!!
Mind you I'm taking my car to Vauxhall on Friday for its mot eek but the staff I deal with are a good bunch even if they have no idea about Monaros.
However, I always wait with the car and I never let them wash or Hoover it out.
The thought of a young technician revving the censored out of the engine or going off for a behind the scenes test drive fill me with yikes
