Hi everyone. Been a long time owner/member (nearly 10 years) & car has generally been good as gold.

However as title states, I currently have a NSF passenger window stuck half open & it won't close. In fact none of the windows will work from either central switchbox or the rear windows from the door controls, which I have read somewhere are independent from the central control ?

It started a couple of days ago when similarly all windows stopped working - in this instance it was the drivers side that was open (only slightly though). I had a rummage around in the passenger foot well fuse box but could only find a couple of 20A "breakers" related to the windows - not a traditional type relay that I was expecting. The 2A fuse was also fine (well visibly anyway). After my rummage around, I had pretty much given up hope of a quick fix but then I tried them again & the windows started working. Coincidence perhaps ?

When the windows were working, you could hear "relay clicks" from behind/below the drivers dash area - I assume there must be some kind of control box/module there perhaps ? Now (they are not working) there is no sound at all.

I have cycled through a few arm/disarm/start/stop/arm/disarm cycles in case something had got confused but no luck. I have also disconnected the battery for a minute or so to see if anything needed resetting but alas no change.

I don't think it is the central switch (but I stand to be corrected) - would that stop all windows working plus the rear door controls as well ?
The window switches light up so I assume there is power getting to it ? Can anyone confirm if the rear door controls are independent to the main control as that would (I think) rule out the central control switchbox itself.

I have looked at a couple of fault-finding Commodore VE related vids on You Tube - but nothing really has my exact symptoms, so none talk about the window control module & how to get to it or test it. Or am I barking up the wrong tree ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, it will most likely be the relay in the passenger foot well, you can swap it with another for now, rear fog light is the same type of relay. The bigger issue is that you can no longer get new ones from Vauxhall, I had the last one apparently.

Is it part number 92181835? (I'm guessing based on a look at a 2010 VE in the EPC)

If it is then there are some on Aus Ebay.

OK - I thought it strange that there weren't any relays for the windows. I have now seen the RAP (Retain Accessory Power) relay which although doesn't mention windows does appear to be for the windows as the F24 2A Fuse, also labelled RAP but with added description "PWR WDO".

So I will have a look at that - typically looks the hardest to get at with my fat fingers !!

Thanks chaps - hopefully that will be the issue.

OMG - how difficult was that relay to get to !!! Spent 30mins just trying to get to it let alone pull it out from behind a thick wiring loom.

Anyway pulled it & swapped with the fog light relay & windows all back working again. Gave the duff relay to an engineer at work who said it had sticky contacts. He opened it up & found one of the coil wires had come loose - he is in the process of doing a fix so hopefully won't have the troubles of trying to find a new one.

This forum is a wealth of knowledge & really useful. Although that said, if Holden or Vauxhall had referenced that relay to elec. windows in the first place, I wouldn't have needed the help !!!
