Insurance! Admiral, brilliant.

Worth giving Admiral a shout for insurance on a Monaro.
My renewal came in a £497 (last year £477) multicar to cover the Monaro and Astra.
After a quick chat, adding my APs to the mods list and the chap juggling some figures my renewal is....

£386!! Bloody brilliant!!

4000 miles on the Ro, all mods declared. 14 years NCB.
8000 miles on the Astra. 2 years NCB.

Certainly pays to challenge these things, would have been happy back at £477.

Also getting an extra £50 back due to Covid19 due to Stay At Home guideline, every Admiral customer will get £25 per vehicle insured with them!.

Finally, I thought I'd try and cheat the system, see what adding my 38 year old partner to the policy would do. That has in the past knocked a few quid off for some reason....nope. They wanted an extra £160 for her!! Can't win it all!

There seems to be an anomaly for insurance with the Monaro with some companies, not that I'm complaining. I was looking around to insure my 2004 VXR back in January. Hastings (yes I know, used them before and I have never claimed so can't comment from experience) wanted £200 ish for my daily Suzuki Swift. The Monaro was only an extra £22 (!). That'll do nicely.

So I insured the Swift using my other 5yrs NCD elsewhere.

I’ve had an Admiral multi-car policy for years.

Also received a £75 refund this week which I thought was a nice gesture.
They could have got away with doing nothing.
