Evening.
What's the crack with replacing the fuel lines on the big boot Monaro please?
I'm not sure on the layout, will the tank and/or subframe need dropping to do this? Hoping not, thinking they might just run from the filter or something like.
The brake lines have already been replaced in copper.

the bit behind the tank is plastic
so its from the filter forward.

I read on one of the facebook groups its 10mm id feed and 8mm id return
.unsure if you can get kunifer that size or stainless maybe an option

im not sure if big boot lines are differnt to small boot lines . The small boot lines are available from the USA in steel or stainless pre made with all bends and factory style ends

I'll try to get some pics of my small boot ones for you to compare

just had mine done , they did after the fuel filter forward , the easier way to do it is not drop the subframe and put a joint in it just forward of the subframe , i’m not sure on size of the pipe , subframe down is a lot of hard work plus the added issue of stuck bolts

Yellow and Red arrows are the ends or the fuel lines at the rear

Green arrow is the passenger side rear brake line making its way across the rear cross member behind the diff
Purple arrow is the cross member behind the diff

Hopefully the difference from big boot to small boot was after the hardlines

Thanks guys.
So what we're saying is that there are no metal lines behind the filter? Just rubber and plastic? Is the fuel pump in the tank on these cars?

Who did yours mate? And what was the cost? And what material did they use?laugh
My brake lines have been done already, and yes using joints (I think just one) to get the N/S line around the subframe. I see nothing wrong with using sound joints, makes a lot of sense post car assembly.

It was done by Topcats , they did a very good job , if you call Warren they will say how much , i had brake and fuel lines done plus did braided brake lines , so not sure how much for a fuel line , they joined the metal fuel pipe just after the fuel filter out pipe , cupra nickel pipes , car is garaged but surprising how the original pipes in patches were not ageing well

yes to both questions . it allows flex when dropping the tank . sender and pump are in the tank .

Brilliant! Thanks to all.thumbup

Going to see if AAS can 'splice' into the lines near the filter and splice into the lines as they run into the engine bay. Hardly surprising the pipework in there looks like new and is totally solid, that section doesn't need disturbing.

So I understand that the feed pipe travels from the filter across the car and to the engine, then a smaller return pipe travels back under the car, but then where? Does it connect to another flexible hose that goes back into the tank?
Cheers...
