As I have been doing a lot of tarting to my Ro in the last week or so and doing all of those jobs I've been meaning to do and never got round to finishing, it got me to wondering what you have all been doing to yours.

Clearly any excuses for having a dirty car now (key workers of course being exempt) are not any longer acceptable;)

I've taken some of this lockdown time to finish off the extensive paint cutting back work I started when I got the car. So far I reckon I've done about 150 hours on the exterior paintwork since buying the car 3 years ago. This has been mainly extensive wet flatting using wet 2000,3000 and 6000 grit paper to get a flawless finish, followed by compounding, polish and seal. Its a very very long and slow process but I love it and the results are stunning on a Phantom Black car, with the light metallic gleaming in the sun. I'm completely OCD when it comes to paintwork having run my own detailing business for nearly 20 years as a part-time business. For me there is one colour and it's black. Not for the fainthearted and it shows every single mark, hologram and stone chip but pure perfection when done right IMO.

So one and a half panels left now to do. To give you an idea the drivers door took me a day to do properly and i'm talking 6-7 hours work. To be fair that's to get a show ready finish, zero marks and completely blemish free.

Then it's engine bay time and bits off to be polished and cleaned up. Yes I am mental laugh

Nice to hear you're still clearly loving the car even after a few years! Keep up the enthusiasm. And get some pics up!
As for mine, its recently had fresh diff oil, new bonnet and boot struts, a new door seal and a new battery.
Unfortunately its now at the menders, with gearbox and clutch issues so I have a big bill coming soon!
Here's a very recent pic of my engine bay - looking pretty tidy I feel. Notice the bonnet now stays up!laugh

well now i’ve mostly got over having corona virus , not fun had a bad time with it , the cars have had a wash and polish , the monaro has had its brake and fuel lines done , doing the pipes was more longterm preventative , some sections of the lines were fine but it appears where there was a clip there was a build up of rust or debris on the pipes , often in a non visible place , not cheap to get done but good peace of mind

I believe Taiwan are reporting repeat infections, but it is still early days. Glad you better pal.

I had some of the symptoms including coughing, short of breath and fatigue for about a week. Lucky for me not more severe so i didn’t get tested.

That didn't happen! Took the back left off and they are about 6mm thick, had a look at the front left and they are about the same. Looks like they wont need doing for at least a year!

Thanks. Long list of engine mods, pushing circa 500bhp.
