HSV GTS For sale
Discussion
This was my first HSV, bought it new in 2000 via Talacrest. Traded it for my current HSV in 2002
Seen it a few times since at LSV. It was a lovely car, that was my daily drive, only ever needed a replacement rubber donut. It was fastidiously maintained, never tracked & most of its mileage was on motorways.
The first car I had owned from new! Hope it goes to a good home!

Hey Tom A57
Sorry to hear you're flogging the motor.
You say it's originally a Talacrest car. What's the reg? I went there about four years ago and they had one at the shop with the reg V***HGS. They also displayed W***CBL at Goodwood, about the same time, 2000? I got a pic of each, both are black. Is one of these yours? Not long afterwards, they stopped selling them through lack of interest. How times change. I showed the pics to Paul ukhsv at 'The Ace' two years ago and he didn't know who owned them, although he may do by now, eh Paul?
Hope it goes to a good home.

Bit of confusion here Mick, Batesy is selling the car, I was its 1st owner. I remember seeing at Talacrest another silver GTS, a completely de badged black GTS, the black GTS demonstrator, a GTS-R with heavily tinted windows & of course my 1st car that is silver & X reg.
All the Ferrari mechanics seemed to really like them, or maybe they were just being polite! I remember seeing a not very attractive (IMO) racing Ferrari (P2?) crammed into a corner of the workshop. Someone had just paid 6 million dollars for it in Germany & had it shipped to Talacrest & I was freaked at just having spent £40k on my first new car. LOL.

No worries
Sorry about the confusion.
The day me and my kid went there they had a Ferrari 512M race car, privately owned worth £1M. The salesman told us that every so often they pushed on to the forecourt, started it up and 'gave it some', much to the annoyance of the offices opposite who they didn't get on with. Great stuff!

Hi GLDMICK
I own the black de-badged HSV that you have mentioned which previously had the rego V*** HGS but now has a cherished HSV reg number. The car is number 02 as per the numbering applied to them I presume by Talacrest and was first registered in '99. I would be interested in getting a copy of a photo of the car back in 2000 if it is possible to e-mail me: david@cartridgeworld.org Thanks in anticipation

Hi Mick,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Not going to Goodwood unfortunatley, however no hurry for the photo. I had assumed it was digital although I forgot that back in 2000 digital phototography was still very new. It is definitley V***HGS as I still have the old plates.
Regards David

I am keen to know what response you've had. Will be parting with my beloved GTS soon. Never kept a car so long, never wanted to keep a car for so much longer. You know the feeling, I've got to increase the size of the house...unless one of you fancies having my wife and kids, or you can build the forthcoming house extension for free? Tricky.
