Hi.
I'm looking to replace the drivers main door seal, the large one that goes all the way around the door opening in the shell and the door then closes on to.
I have a brand new one to fit, but I've had a quick look, the old one is on very tight and when pulled away, it deforms and doesn't want to take shape again. I'm sure they aren't glued on, just an interference fit.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience fitting these seals, or similar seals on another car and can share some tips before I balls this 'simple' job up! I don't want to tear the old one off and find I can't fit the new one correctly!

I am sorry I cannot help you out since I have never had to replace a door seal on any of my cars. Just curious where you got this part from?

Update:
There is no magic solution, just unscrew or release the trim as required, pull off the old and feed on the new.
Trying not to break anything along the way!laugh

Didn't do it myself but Neil at N.W.J. did mine , took him about 15 minutes.
The seal on a vxr8 has got a load of little plastic plug type things, get the first on right and the rest just follow in.
The old one came out easily as well if I remember right Neil got hold of it with a pair of pliers and just pulled.

Yeah, obviously very different to the Monaro then, not a single plastic plug clip. It might be possible to change it without removing or releasing any trim, but I doubt it and this is what ups the time.
