6.0 Monaro prop shaft centre bearing

Hi everyone.

New to the forum but have been into cars for many years, sadly not mechanically minded though. I've recently put my Monaro VXR through MOT and it's failed on a couple of points, one of which is an easy fix but the other, the garage has had trouble finding a part.

It's the prop shaft centre bearing, more specifically the rubber seal around the bearing. Pedders doesn't stock much beyond suspension parts now and all I can find on eBay in Australia is one for a CV8 with the 5.7.

Does anyone here know if 5.7 Aussie Monaro's and UK 6.0 VXRs are interchangeable for the prop shaft bearing or failing that, the Pontiac GTO of the same year as it used the LS2?

I somewhat dread trying to get parts these days.

go onto Rockautos website , they are around 40£ , when you pick delivery order it via the fedex route and that will be the landed cost so you won’t pay any more , plus arrives within a week normally , getting the prop off is not difficult, and neither is doing the repair , you buy the complete item , the bearing pushes off the prop but mark the prop so you fit it back exactly how it was lined up , if you want a uk source then walkinshaw or aas in newcastle , i don’t know if pedders do them

Jump on the phone to AAS, they will probably have one in stock and post it out quickly.

Thank you both - I ordered from Rock Autos before the second reply to be honest but I do need some A/C pulleys so I will contact AAS about that.
